Phenomenology is the philosophical discipline of the intuitive clarification of the structures of experience. It could be called experience-ology. It was developed by Edmund Husserl among others and offers tremendous leverage for whose who want to probe the inner life of consciousness more clearly. One emphasis in phenomenology is the intimate correlation between consciousness and its objects (between how we know and what we know–contributions to epistemology (knowledge-ology) and metaphysics (reality-ology).
